An inquest has opened into the death of a man who was killed after being struck by a van on the A1060.
Pavels Ivanovs, 22, died after being in collision with a van in Roxwell Road, between Roxwell and Chelmsford, just before 6am on December 1.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
A 26-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving and has been released on police bail pending further inquiries until April 10, 2015.
An inquest into his death was today opened by H.M. Coroner Eleanor McGann at the Chelmsford Coroner’s office.
