A charity shop is calling for donations of unwanted toys to help children who struggle to see and hear.
The Billericay Sense shop is calling on local residents to bring in their unwanted toys in support of ‘The Real Toy Story’ campaign.
The campaign aims to raise awareness about how toys can help children who are both deaf and blind learn to communicate.
Sense will either sell the toys in the shop, or if they're collectable, on the Sense Retail eBay shop.
The campaign is being supported by television presenter Gaby Roslin, who said: “As a parent I can’t imagine how difficult it must be thinking that your child might not learn how to communicate.
"With the right support deafblind children can build a shared language with their parents.
"I am delighted to support Sense’s ‘The Real Toy Story Campaign’ and help deafblind children connect with the world around them and reach their full potential.”
