PREPARE to be dazzled and amazed by some close-up magic at the Brentwood Theatre.

Chris Wood, a member of the Magic Circle, is bringing his unique show, Close-Up Magic, to Brentwood for the first time tomorrow and hopes to surprise and delight with a performance full of magical moments.

He said: “The concept of the show is about closeup magic and it’s something thatIam particularly passionate about.

“It gives people a much more intimate experience, as opposed to watching a cabaret act, and tends to use small, borrowed items, such as rings, money or cards.

“It seems to resonate quite well with people at the moment. People like something that’s informal and a genuine experience, not something artificial.

“They want something that’s a little bit more authentic and this provides that–rather than having a glass screen between you and the magic on your television, you are sitting right on top of it.

“There is no editing suite, it really is ‘what you see is what you get’. We use three performers per show and always change it up so people get to see something a little different.”

Close-Up Magic will be at the Brentwood Theatre tomorrow (Friday), starting at 7.30pm. Tickets are £16.50 and can be booked at brentwood-theatre.
