TRIBUTES have poured in for a Brentwood Ursuline student whowas killed in a car accident in Kelvedon Hatch.

Nancy Wilson, 15, died after she was struck by a black Peugeot 308 in Ongar Road, near the Eagle pub, on Friday evening.

Nancy,aYear 11 pupil at Brentwood Ursuline Convent High School, was taken to hospital, but pronounced the dead the following morning.

A 64-year-old man from Brentwood was arrested following the accident, and has since been bailed until June.

Richard Wilkin, headteacher at Nancy’s school, said: “The whole community at Brentwood Ursuline is mourning the loss of one of our Year 11 students, Nancy Wilson.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with Nancy’s family and friends as they struggle to come to terms with this tragic news.”

Tributes to Nancy flooded the internet in the aftermath of the tragedy.

On Twitter, @mitchellxo said: “RIP Nancy Wilson, God has gained another beautiful angel. I love and miss you already.”

@amylousie759 said: “Thoughts go out to Nancy Wilson’s family. Just shows howmuch you should appreciate life, RIP.”

On Instagram, emilycundickx posted a picture of purple, blue and yellow flowers with the message: “I am so lucky to have known you. I don’t need to say goodbye because I know you will always live on in our hearts x.”

Police closed the road until just after midnight while forensic examinations took place, following the crash at about 8.10pm.

Officers are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
