THE family of a teenager who died following a crash in Kelvedon Hatch have paid moving tribute to her.

Nancy Wilson, 15, was involved in a collision with a black Peugeot 308 in Ongar Road at about 8.10pm on Friday, February 27.

Nancy,a Year 11 pupil at Brentwood Ursuline Convent High School, was taken to hospital, but pronounced the dead the following morning.

In a tribute, her family said: "Nancy was born in Brentwood and lived with her mother Julie, father Ian and older sister Molly.

"She also grew up with three older brothers, Jack, George and Charlie, who no longer live at home.

"She attended the Brentwood Ursuline Convent High School where she was studying for her GCSEs and was hoping to pursue a college course in sports and exercise science.

"She was a keen sportsperson and loved her PE classes and attended kickboxing classes outside of school.

"Nancy was a lively, happy person, assertive and determined. She loved life and her friends were of great importance to her.

"The family would like to take this opportunity to express their deep gratitude for the ongoing support and prayers received during this extremely difficult time."

Donations to Essex Air Ambulance in Nancy's memory can be made via Bennetts Funeral Directors in High Street, Brentwood.

A 64-year-old man from Brentwood was arrested following the accident, and has since been bailed until June.
