Brentwood MP Eric Pickles replaced in cabinet shake-up
BRENTWOOD MP Eric Pickles has lost out in the shake-up of David Cameron’s new Conservative cabinet.
Mr Pickles has been replaced as communities secretary by Greg Clarke as part of the shake-up following last week’s Tory election victory.
Mr Pickles came out on top in the Brentwood and Ongar parliamentary vote, with a massive 21,810 majority.
He tweeted earlier: “I could not wish for a better successor than @gregclarkmp. He will do a fantastic job. More announcements later in the week of my new role.”
