BARNARDS Farm will host a special family open day next weekend as the end of the summer holidays draws nearer.
The farm, in West Horndon, has more than 40 acres of gardens, with fountains, lakes, ponds, woodlands and sculptures to discover.
Barnards Farm is renowned for its superb collection of sculptures and for the equally famous collection of veteran and vintage cars and motorcycles. The museum and vintage cycle shop will be open on Sunday, September 6, as part of the day.
There are also the Barnards Miniature Railway Rides. The railway travels around the grounds and through the woodland.
For avid art lovers there is a sculpture tour led by the garden owner Bernard Holmes at 3pm.
The open day runs from 2pm to 5.30pm. Admission is £7.50 for adults and £2.50 fo r school age children.
