A CHELMSFORD dance teacher and her students will be bringing the magic of ballroom and Latin dancing to life on stage in the school's first show.

Natasha Fellowes, 24, has been dancing since she was a child and has been teaching for more than seven years.

She now runs the Diamante Dance Academy in Beehive Lane, Chelmsford, and will be dancing alongside her students during their show on May 14 at the Civic Hall in Blackshots Lane, Grays.

Natasha, who lives in Chelmsford, said: "It is our first ever stage show and will be a great, fun afternoon showcasing the talent of our students.

"The theme of the show is musicals and there is a great 'Strictly' feel to the show.

"We also have another school, the Southend Dance Centre, joining us as our special guests to create a great community show.

"It will include our own interpretation of extracts from a vast range such as Legally Blonde, Cats, Saturday Night Fever, Matilda, Bugsy Malone, Les Miserables, Grease, Hairspray, Chicago, Dirty Dancing, Rent and many more.

"The show will not only be showcasing some great talent of all ages, but even give the audience a chance to be involved with some audience participation, which will hopefully inspire the community to dance."

The 2016 Spectacular show, which involves dancers aged four upwards, will also feature Graham Cherry from Countryside Properties, who will showcase his routines from the Strictly Air Ambulance show, which was held in March in aid of the Essex and Herts Air Ambulance Trust.
