BRAVE runners from Brentwood will be pounding the pavement during the London Marathon on Sunday.
Alex Manktelow, 34, of Greenshaw, Brentwood, and friend John Mean, are running for Farleigh Hospice.
Alex said: “I want to help Farleigh continue to do great work caring for people with life limiting illnesses.”

Stuart Park, of Pilgrims Hatch, is running for Epilepsy Research UK (pictured below)
He said: “My ten-year-old son Louis has epilepsy so I’ve been running marathons for the past five years for the charity.
“Our local chip shop the Golden Fishbar - which Louis and his friends love - has also raised £150 through donations from customers.”

James Hay, 30, of Shenfield, pictured below with dad Alex, is running the marathon for Children with Cancer.
The charity is close to his heart as it supported two of his friends when they had cancer.

Lee Rhodes, of Brentwood, is running for Saint Francis Hospice for the second time.
He said: “Over the years I have known a lot of people who were cared for by the hospice and I’ve learned a lot about the wonderful work it does and how it supports the family as well as the patient.
“I enjoy keeping fit and challenging myself and am really looking forward to the marathon as the atmosphere is phenomenal.”
