VISITORS to a horse sanctuary will have the chance to meet a raft of special guests, and enjoy a teddy bear picnic.

An open day at Remus Horse Sanctuary, in Buttsbury, Ingatstone, will witness the crazy capers from Alice in Wonderland and The Mad Hatter, who will be meeting guests on SundayJune 5, from 1pm.

Visitors are also invited to bring along their teddy bears for a post-hibernation check with a one of the nurses, and once Teddy has been checked out, each one with a clean bill of health will receive a certificate.

Entry is £4 for adults and £2 for children,

The Sanctuary was unable to open its gates to the public earlier in May, due to wet field, meaning this will be the first open day of the year.
