A CHARITY that cares for vulnerable people is planning to move location to widen the reach of its services.
Crossroads Care, currently based in Tallon Road, Brentwood, hopes to relocate to Wickford, so that it can support more people.
Jo Fellows, the charity’s chief executive told how she wants to be able to help more residents throughout Castle Point and Rochford.
She continued: “This accessibility and it’s just off High Street location mean that carers will be able come in and speak to us, they will be able to get advice and guidance first hand and whilst doing so bring the person they care for with them, regardless of age or impairment.”
The charity, which has been at its base for 32 years and caters for people throughout Basildon and Brentwood, has launched a fundraiser appeal to help with the move.
Ms Fellows said: “We need to find this £2,100 urgently to fund the move and any help that businesses or people across the area can give us will go a long way to helping us expand our services to help more people.’’
Only funded by grants and donations, a combination of challenging overheads coupled with the recent expansion have led to the need to move.
This week the charity launched its “Donate 2 Relocate”
appeal in a bid to raise the funds needed to complete the move.
The total cost of the move is expected to be about £25,000 and the charity needs to find an initial £2,100 to pay for the removal expenses
