THE Essex county branch of the Royal British Legion has been awarded a prestigious prize for being the most efficient branch in the UK.
The award was presented at the annual Royal British Legion Conference, held at Eastbourne by Vice Admiral Peter Wilkinson CB CVO, the RBL National President.
The trophy was received for the first time on behalf of Essex County by Colonel Roger Burgess OBE, who is the current county chairman.
Colonel Burgess said: “This success was totally due to a massive team effort on the part of the county committee, who were all dedicated volunteers, supported by our excellent and hard-working county secretaries.”
