BRENTWOOD Borough Council are inviting residents to show their support for the work of the Armed Forces.
An Armed Forces Day Flag Raising Ceremony will take place outside the Town Hall on Monday (June 20) at 10.45am.
Mayor of Brentwood, Councillor Noelle Hones, said: "It is a privilege to be part of this event and to show my support for our Armed Forces and what they do.
"Please do join local veterans and I as we mark Armed Forces Day at the Town Hall on Monday and celebrate the serving Armed Forces personnel, veterans and cadets."
The celebration is part of Armed Forces Day, an annual national campaign taking place on Saturday 25 June.
It gives everyone the opportunity to show their support for the men and women of the Armed Forces past and present, including currently serving troops, Service families, Reservists, veterans and cadets.

10:45 Arrival of guests, assemble outside the Town Hall
11.00 Armed Forces Day flag to be raised after a few words from the Mayor of Brentwood, Councillor Noelle Hones
11.15 Meet Veterans/Photographs with refreshments in the old foyer of the Town Hall.
