THE Mayor of Brentwood took time out of her busy schedule to meet residents who face challenges in their lives at the drop-in Colouring in cafe.
Councillor Noelle Hones paid the community project a visit, where she met a team of volunteers and spoke with visitors, on Friday June 17.
Speaking afterwards, she said: “I was very pleased to be able to meet several residents and volunteers at the Colouring in café at Brentwood Theatre, which is held every Friday morning from 10am - 12 noon.
"The group meet every week to help and support those who face challenges in their lives and it is a wonderfully cheerful place."
Different members of the community meet up for a friendly chat, a hot drink, and a spot of relaxing colouring.
The project has been put together by the Brentwood Community Tree in an effort to provide Brentwood with a safe space where adults from all backgrounds can go and relax and, if they wish, make some new friends.
