A MAN has been charged with drug-driving and drink-driving following a collision in Brentwood.
Police were called shortly after 6.35am on Monday May 3 with reports of a single vehicle collision in Running Waters, Brentwood.
Joeseph Scorey, 46, unemployed, of Fielding Way, Hutton, was charged today, Tuesday July 5, with driving with a proportion of a specified controlled drug above the specified limit, namely 64 micrograms of cocaine per litre of blood.
He was also charged with driving after consuming so much alcohol that the proportion in his blood, namely 250 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood, exceeded the prescribed limit.
He is due to appear at Basildon Magistrates' Court on August 3.
