DETECTIVES are appealing for witnesses to a disturbance in which a man suffered a broken leg.

A fight broke out involving two men inside Hollands Wine Bar, in Hutton Road, Shenfield, at 8.30pm on Thursday, June 16.

The disturbance took place after England had played Wales in Euro 2016 that afternoon, meaning pubs and bars were busy throughout the day.

A third man tried to intervene to stop the disturbance, which moved outside and more people became involved.

The third man was pushed over and suffered a dislocated ankle and fractured leg.

Detectives are now in a position to release footage of some men they wish to identify and speak to in connection with their enquiries.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Nicola Hudson said: "A number of witnesses have already come forward, for which I am grateful.

"However the area was busy at the time with a number of commuters leaving the train station. Therefore I am appealing for anyone who saw what happened or can identify the people in the clip to please get in touch.”
