A HAIRDRESSERS scooped a national award after being recognised for its staff training programme.
Spargo Hairdressing, in Weald Road, Brentwood, took home the award for Education Salon of the Year at the annual Salon Business Awards, held in London.
Salon owner Ian Marshall said: “We’re all so pleased with this amazing win.
“Our salon mantra is to chase your passion and the money will come.
“If you chase money, you may never find your passion.”
Mr Marshall, who attended the ceremony in Madison rooftop bar, St Pauls with colleagues, added educating staff is at the forefront of the salon’s agenda.
Spargo was chosen from six finalists after being picked out from hundreds of applicants nationwide.
Donning their finest outfits, nearly 250 guests attended the event on Monday July 4, where champagne flowed while DJ and saxophonist Brendan Mills kept guests entertained.
Salon Business Publishing Editor Jo Charlton, who presented the awards, said: “There were some incredible entries to choose from.
“But after hours of deliberation our judging decided on the deserving winners across our 12 categories.”
