DETECTIVES investigating a robbery at a shop in Brentwood have released CCTV images of men they want to speak to.
Police were called to the McColls post office and shop at Ongar Road at about 5.45am on Thursday, July 28.
Two suspects are believed to have waited until staff arrived then forced the manager to open the safe.
The manager was later treated by paramedics after suffering face injuries and taken to hospital for further assessments.
A five figure sum of cash was taken by the two men who fled from the back door and into Doddinghurst Road where it is thought they had a vehicle waiting.
One of the suspects was white, aged between 30 and 40 and about 5ft 8in tall. He was wearing a black baseball cap, dark coloured trousers and a dark coloured hooded top.
The second suspect was black, aged between 25-35 and 6ft 1 tall. He was wearing dark coloured trousers or jeans and a jacket coloured pale blue and navy blue. He is also wearing distinctive orange gloves which appear to have ‘Traffi Glove’ printed on them.
Witnesses or anyone who recognises the men pictured should contact detectives at Brentwood on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111
