Opening hours trial at Citizens' Advice Bureau

A PILOT scheme is set to run with Brentwood’s Citizens Advice Bureau, extending its opening hours.

The charity opens at its Crown Street office every weekday between 10am and 4pm as well as the first Saturday of each month from 10am until noon.

The bureau is running two pilot sessions to see what the response is to changing the opening hours to help improve access to services.

The dates of extra opening are Wednesday, July 18, and Wednesday, August 22, from 5pm until 8pm.

The aim is to provide advisory services to a bigger proportion of Brentwood’s population that would be working or at school or college during the current opening hours.

Depending on the response, the charity will look at ways of making the extended hours permanent.

The bureau offers advice on a wide range of topics including debt, housing, benefits and employment.
