Advice bureau set to open longer
7:00am Thursday 30th August 2012 in Local news
BRENTWOOD Citizens Advice Bureau has won a Big Lottery grant to extend its opening hours.
The charity is currently open at its Crown Street office every weekday between 10am and 4pm, as well as the first Saturday of each month. Now the service will add three hours every Wednesday from 5pm until 8pm.
The extra money will enable it to recruit and train a new group of volunteers to staff the additional hours.
The aim is to provide advisory services to more Brentwood residents who are working or at school or college during the present opening hours.
The CAB offers advice on a wide range of topics including debt, housing, benefits and employment.
It provides a walk-in service at its 8-12 Crown Street office and also a telephone service and a service via email.
