CHILDREN looking for a really Horrible half term should head down to Brentwood library.
Staff at the library in New Road will be putting on an event to celebrate the Horrible History and Horrible Science set of books.
Youngsters aged between five to 11 can take part in a quiz, a chance to hear stories and poems, and even find out some horrible Essex history.
David Finch, Essex County Council cabinet member for adults, health and community well-being said: "This is a great event for families during this National Year of Reading. Discover what fun reading can be and what wonderful things libraries have to offer"
The free event will be taking place on Tuesday May 27 from 10.30am until 11.30am.
