Charitable donations to go further

PEOPLE and businesses planning to donate to small charities in Essex are being encouraged to back a scheme to help their money go further.
The Grassroots Grants scheme has been launched by the Government, who will add 50 per cent to all donations destined for local communities.
The scheme will be run through the Essex Community Foundation, which aims to create a £5million endowment fund for small charities.
