A MAN will appear in court next week charged with manslaughter over the death of a seven-year-old girl.
Elizabeth Cooke was killed when the petrol-powered quad bike she was riding was struck by a Range Rover in Fingrith Hall Lane, just yards from her home in Spriggs Lane, Blackmore, just before 7pm on Boxing Day last year.
A 46-year-old man was arrested in January in connection with the incident, and he has now been charged with manslaughter.
He has been released on police bail until his appearance at Grays Magistrates Court on July 31.
