Estuary views exhibition
5:20pm Monday 6th August 2012 in Sound Check
A NEW exhibition detailing views over the Thames Estuary is up and running at Studio 11 in Station Road, Westcliff . Featuring work from artist Andrew Hall – who founded the gallery and is one of the 12 artists who rotate their work within the space – Estuary Life sees an atmospheric collection of work that tracks the views through the seasons. “The work is based around the estuary,” explains Andrew. “The collection goes right through the seasons from the water sparkling in the summer to sunrises in winter.” Andrew also runs regular oil painting and watercolour classes throughout the week at the gallery, including some evenings and is also organising weekend classes. The summer will also see two mosaic workshops taking place at the gallery on Thursday, and Saturday August 18, with all the materials provided. The workshops will run from 10am – 4pm with an hour for lunch and cost £46 per day with a donation going to Community Mosaics East. To book a place, e-mail debbiehadley@sky.com or through the gallery.
