ROBERT Youngblood is in good spirits ahead of Essex Leopard’s new season after resigning two key players from last year’s team.
The basketball coach secured Courtney Van Beest, the runner up in last year’s Most Valuable Player stakes and seven-foot centre Lawrence Brown.
Youngblood said: “Re-signing Courtney was one of my highest priorities. Although he doesn’t often start, he brings us massive energy off the bench and is capable of playing starter’s minutes.”
He added: “When he’s playing well, Lawrence causes real problems for other teams.”
Leopards make their debut in Harlow on Sunday, tip-off, 3.15pm.
