Hard week for borough’s table teams
Brentwood A fought out a draw with fellow Premier League mid table side Writtle A, which was even more remarkable as they only had two players available, during another exciting week of local table tennis.
In the First Division, promotion chasing Billericay C beat visitors Brentwood Hard 8-2, while Billericay Sports D took three points in the 3-7 home defeat by Mountnessing B and Brentwood B lost to league leaders Buttsbury A 4-6.
In the Second Division, Hutton B and Hutton A fought like tigers but the end result was a drawn match, as Writtle B beat Brentwood C 9-1.
