ADAM Flanagan – the joint boss of Brentwood Town – described the point taken against Soham Town Rangers as a fair result.

Soham Town Rangers twice came from behind to hold Brentwood Town to a 2-2 draw at the Arena on Saturday.

Sherwin Stanley put the Blues ahead in the sixth minute, but Jack Bridge equalised for the away side midway through the first half.

Marcus Milner restored Brentwood’s lead shortly after the break, but Joey Abbs brought Rangers level from the spot after skipper Martyn Stokes fouled David Prada in the box.

The result leaves Town fourth in Ryman League Division One North “A draw was probably a fair result,” said joint-boss Flanagan, pictured.

He added: “I felt we had the chances to have won, but you have got to take everything into consideration.

“We’ve taken four points off of Soham this season, and if we can do that against the better teams, and I include them to be one of the better teams, we’ll be in and around things, so we can’t be too disappointed.”

On Saturday, the Blues travel to league favourites Thurrock, who they lost 3-0 to on the opening day of the season.
