STEVE Trott, from Doddinghurst, will compete in the Audi quattro UK Cup Final at the Bowood Golf & Country Club near Calne, Wiltshire, on Thursday, September 6.

Trott, aged 57, and playing partner Lloyd, 42, from Maldon, contest the one-day, 18-hole Stableford rules competition with 34 other amateur golfers bidding for the national title.

The top-two pairs will represent Great Britain in the Audi quattro World Cup Final staged at the Arabella Golf Club, Western Cape, South Africa.

Trott and Lloyd finished third and fourth in the Essex Audi Ballards Gore event in June before teaming up to claim second place in a Regional Final at the Woburn Club in July.

The Audi quattro Cup is the world’s largest amateur golf competition.
