BRENTWOOD men’s hockey first team got the season rolling with 10-0 win at home to Royston firsts.
Alex Hynes scored the first goal from the far side of the D, and the second, third and fourth goals were again all in open play.
With the half time whistle blown and the score line standing at 5-0 there were smiles all round for the home side. The second half started with the same pace and intensity as the first and Royston just didn’t have anything to answer with.
Two early short corners straight out of the training ground got Brentwood their sixth and seventh goals.
With the game coming to a close there was just enough time for a few more goals and for Paul Haynes to take his goal tally for the game to four.
