Broxbourne 1st 2 Brentwood 1st 2

Both teams started well and chances came at both ends but Broxbourne were the first to break the deadlock after some slick passing and slotting home past the keeper.

Brentwood kept their heads up knowing they will always score goals and drew one back when the Broxbourne keeper saved with his helmet from a Paul Haynes volley in front of goal and James Duggan was there to slot home the rebound.

Good defensive work and some great saves from man of the match Ian Malone kept the game even until Broxbourne managed to scramble home a second with ten minutes of the half remaining.

That gave Brentwood the spark they needed to then dominate the following ten minutes with some good passing, hard work off the ball and some well earnt short corners that nearly paid off.

Just before half time Brentwood did pull even with another goal from Duggan.

There were no more goals in the second half but yellow cards for Stuart Piper and Cashel Gleeson and one for Nic Hull put Brentwood up against it but they held on for a good point away from home and deserved to keep their unbeaten position in the league.
