Hockey thirds enjoy comfortable win over Redbridge

BRENTWOOD returned to league action last Saturday with a comfortable win over bottom of the table Redbridge & Ilford 3s.

Darren Higgins gave the home side the lead when he deflected a short corner shot into the goal from Jon D’Arcy. Brentwood extended the lead in the second half again from a short corner.

This time Mike Hancox latched onto a pass from Kim Hansen and pushed the ball home. The travellers managed to pull a goal back late on in the half but this only encouraged Brentwood to step their game up.

This resulted in a third goal which Higgins confidentily flicked over the keeper.
