Nicole Kidman and Meryl Streep are among the stars expected to attend the National Movie Awards.
Hollywood actress Kidman will be making her first public engagement since the birth of her baby, Sunday Rose, in July.
Preview footage from the forthcoming James Bond film, Quantum Of Solace, will be unveiled at the event at London's Royal Festival Hall.
The awards are voted for by the public and include categories for Best Musical, Male Performance and Film.
Stars such as Batman actor Christian Bale, Harrison Ford, Johnny Depp, Pierce Brosnan, Will Smith and Sarah Jessica Parker have been nominated for awards.
Kidman is up for a gong for her role in The Golden Compass and Streep for her performance in Mamma Mia!
The second National Movie Awards will be broadcast on Tuesday at 8pm on ITV1.
